We are committed to reducing the carbon footprint of our event. By carefully measuring the total carbon emissions, including those from travel, energy use, and catering. We have also chosen to reduce audiovisual material used during the event. We are dedicated to being transparent about our impact and will share the detailed results in a post-event report.
Information about the environmental impacts of the event will be shared after the meeting.
Our event features 100% vegetarian and locally sourced catering. We have partnered with a local supplier who works with small Belgian producers to ensure that our food and beverages are both sustainable and delicious. Additionally, all serving materials are reusable, eliminating the need for disposables.
Visit our BELicious caterer’s website and discover their partner producers.
We are striving for a zero-waste event. Attendees are encouraged to participate by returning their badges and lanyards, which will be recycled or reused. Waste bins will be available throughout the venue with clear signage to ensure proper recycling and minimise landfill waste. By working with local suppliers, we also aim to reduce the environmental impact associated with material production and transportation. For instance, we are hosting various events at the same venue, where we store material to be reused from one event to another.
Waste audit data will be shared with participants after the event.
We encourage all participants to use eco-friendly transportation and accommodation options. Public transport, cycling, and walking are promoted as sustainable ways to reach the venue. We have also identified several local hotels nearby, all committed to reducing their environmental impact.
